BGC #51 sketch challenge with Bipasha !

Hello lovely crafters!! It's Bipasha with you here today...

So we are having an yummy LO time this fortnight with the lovely LO designed by our super talented DT member Karen, and we know that so do you!!! Love the amazing submissions till now...and looking forward for more classy creative add-ons on the line :)

Here is your sketch:
v
And here are your challenge rules:
1. You must create a layout (12x12, 8 1/2 x 11, 8x8 it's up to you) based on the sketch above. ( no cards )
2. You can flip or rotate sketch, we just have to be able to see the sketch.
3. You have until May 15 to link up!

Here is my layout ! (and I am not a very good scrapbook-er kind of person,so seriously had to scratch my head hard ! :P)

Be sure to watch in the coming days for more inspiration from the design team!

I thought of capturing the most alluring and astounding view of the sunset. Astounding view of the sinking sun while floating on the quaint sea and the company of the loved ones will surely kindle up an everlasting memory in everyone’s mind.

And here goes a mini tutorial:

Step 1:
I selected a sober plain LO background from THIS & THAT and distress inked the edges using Walnut Stain. I collected a few printables and fuzzy-cut it and dry embossed the petals. I selected a contrasting bright patterned paper from DIY shop 6x6 paper pad for the photo's background, and punched the edges using doily border punch from Ek Success(shown in Step 3).

Step 2:
Stamped my favourite stamp Bo-Bunny(Wall to Wall Textures) on again a DIY shop patterened co-ordinating paper and cut the straps and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink.

Step 3:
Now,the next important step was to assemble the assorted cutouts according to the given LO design. So I scaled down a rough estimated area for each of my parts, and stamped the background with the Kaisercraft stamp (BELIEVE) before gluing down anything permanently(this is indeed an important step, and constitutes maximum part of your finished project!!)

Step 4:
Voilla !..Finally I glued all the parts after I was quite satisfied with the placings and added a few embellishments like the junkyard finding bulb, few mulberry roses,a tag here and there and a quote which is apt for the LO.

Join the challenge here.

I am quite happy with the subtle sunset-y look of the finished work..What do you think? :)
Share your views and queries in the comment section. I would get back to you asap :)

Hugs..
Bips.
