BGC# 65 - Mood board + stamping with Shubhra

                                                                    Hey Peeps

I am so excited to be sharing the first ever post for Beyond Grey Challenges. I was so glad when I was asked to join this team of wonderfully talented ladies and instantly grabbed the opportunity to share some of my projects with you all, try to inspire and mostly get a lot more inspiration while creating with some wonderful crafters out there.

With that, let me continue with the current challenge and remind you once again to hop over and share your creations going with the current mood board+ stamping challenge, if you haven't already done so. You have until 28th of Feb to startle us with some awesome creations.

I have a file folder to share for the current challenge. I have drawn inspiration from the colors of the cake, the overall whimsical feel and flowers from the dress !

The tag is stamped 'hello'. I have a very cute princess shoe at the top too !

The lady cameo is surrounded by a rhinestone jacket .

                                                              Here is a full view

The file folder goes on to a girl turning 16, I am so happy with it that I am planning to make a lot more of these for all lil girls in the family. They are fun and I can't stop thinking how chic they would look for someone carrying them to their school !

Hope this leaves you with some inspiration to try something new and come up with lovely creations that you can link here

Hugs
Shubhra

BGC# 65 - Mood board + stamping once more with Aneta

Dear followers!

My inspiration is the last one while the challenge for this month. I've seen a lot amazing projects on your blogs already and I'm looking forward to see more!
You have still time to join us! And remember about our mood board and rules:

  • Make a paper crafted project taking inspiration from the above mood board .
  • Your post must mention how or what elements inspired you for your project.
  • Your project must have some sort of stamping done on it. Make sure its visible in your pictures .
  • Your project must be new and must have been made after our challenge announcement
  • Deadline to enter -  28th Feb 2015 until 11:55 PM IST .

As my friends and family members have their birthday now,  I'm creating cards for them. This is one of these cards. I was inspired by delicate yellow and green colours from our mood board this time.  I used one stamp to make a sentiment and the second to stamp... the flower.

Sometimes I make my own flowers, sometimes I just buy them.  If it's the last option, I choose white flowers, because it gives me possibility to change their colours by misting, inking or stamping. This way I have perfect flowers for my projects.

If you decide to join us, enter your project HERE.
Have a nice day!

Playing with Dies~a tutorial ! with Bipasha

Hello... Wonderful crafters

This is Bipasha with you. Aren't you enjoying our challenge already with the gorgeous inspirations shared by the talented DTs?? I have spent a real crafty time this month with new creations and loved going through all the projects added to the Mr. linky for the ongoing challenge....You do mesmerize us every time with your creativity. :)

Now coming onto sharing a little crafty technique for today....

I thought of making a project experimenting the versatile use of our different dies in an innovative way. This project has a very close connection to my heart. I am quite happy with the end results and hopefully you would love the plot too.

Technique recipe:
I used 4 die cuts of Cherry Lynn 's Wedding Vows, cut out of ivory sheets. I cut out the couples from the designed frames, hence we are left with 4 layers of each.

I also, cut out 4 strips of hard card stock which will act as the support ribs for my altar. Yes you hear it right ! We are making an wedding altar :). The strips are folded in halves lengthwise and glued down to build the pretty altar...doesn't it look elegant already?

And here the couple goes layered to create a dimensional effect and stands pretty and high in our beautiful altar.

Next, we cut out two bases: one for the roof and the other for the floor.
So yes its as easy as that and we are done !

I don't believe there is any technique for embellishing or decorating your project because I think each of your hearts will do the job better and in an unique way...

This is how my heart expressed its feeling inspired by the colours of this month's challenge theme...

Use this simple recipe and play with your wedding dies or any similar frames and surprise yourself, creativity is endless...ain't it ?

Thankyou for looking into the project and would love to see your precious feed-backs or answer your queries, if any. I am just a comment away :)

Signing off for today, Happy crafting,
Bipasha

Isn't that wonderful ???

For my take on the Challenge, I decided to make this beautiful name wall/door décor.

I was inspired by the many soft and pretty colors on the whole, and the lovely white butterflies in the moodboard.

I made this décor by first applying gesso to an old travel pack perfume box and then embellishing it with 3d letters (all made with papers), pearl strings, organza ribbon and flowers.

For the stamping, I stamped the sentiments  'Hello Sunshine’, ‘I love you' and 'always' with StazOn ink in the front .

The décor can be hanged on the wall, on a door handle or just left standing on a flat surface.

 Hope you like it :)
Please link your projects here.

Take care :)

Wow! That looks great, doesn't it?  I think, that it's worth to join us in this challenge!
Basing on our mood board, I prepared a card as an inspiration for you. I chose delicate peach color as the main element of it. Playing with a symmetry here ( because I didn't wan to to make a card with all elements just in the middle of the card), I put smaller rectangles more to the right side and down.

What do you think about my card?

I'm looking forward to see yours projects this month!
Have a lot of fun making them!

Warm greetings
Aneta

And I hope you like the fresh new modifications we have made to our challenge formats this year!!

Our moodboard for this Feb challenge

Here is my take on the challenge. I was inspired by the stunning colours of the moodboard, the heart shape of the doughnuts, and the flower bunch in the vase!! And ended up creating a shadowbox photo frame from scratch :)

For the stamping, I used the picket fence distress stain and bo bunny coffee stain stamp design to make the white ink marks behind the photo in the background and stamped some scripts on the pp scrap too !

 Hope you love my creation!!
Can't wait to see what you all will be creation...
Much love ...xoxo

for our winner ! :)

Isnt that wonderful ???

Now that its sorted lets take a look at what i made
I decided to do a tall card this time :)
I find the size quite interesting to work with.

I got my first electronic sewing machine for Christmas :) Its amazing how a simple stitch can add so much to your project ! :) You will see me playing a lot more with my machine soon.

Inspiration from the mood board :
I decided to make this card into a wedding themed one because somehow i got the wedding vibe from the mood board.
I took inspiration from the table decoration in terms of colors and the elements .
I went for the white butterflies too , its just an amazing piece of art im sure no one will miss !

 All the flowers are handmade.
I managed to add my stamped elements as layers around which the flower arrangement goes.

I do have some misting in mint underneath the elements.
I also used some fabric element with mesh cloth .

I do hope you like my project and will join us this month
